W.M.C

26th July - 5th August

It was a very enjoyable trip. The people, the place and everything else.

I don't know what to write except I wished it hasnt ended YET. At least knowing that is a public holiday this coming monday is making me feel better.

Thanks everyone for making this experience so wonderful.

The latest stint.

Before the rant, maybe some updates first.

It's been about one month plus since I started work. So far I think it's been pretty ok. I'm once again caught in a pathway of what I really want to do in future. Nonetheless, I think taking courses meanwhile won't hurt and can only improve. So, I've applied for another course. S.Dip as well. Maybe I'll upgrade to another degree soon? Hopefully..

On a hind sight, I have my one dollar worth on the latest stint involving the local commuter service.

Frankly speaking, I do not support people eating on train. I'm not exactly sure what is making me uncomfortable, probably it's the fact that it's against the regulations. However, I BELIEVE, that the "banning" of plain water, is simply too much. I guess I can understand if sweets are considered illegal AS WELL, but I'm sorry, the rationale for plain water?

I see the Yishun Station Manager being interviewed while on the train catching people. From the video, I can only gather one thing. The staff are told to summon anyone who puts anything in their mouth, with probably one or two exceptional "test" cases.

I do not see how SMRT's move has moved ahead to let commuters understand why we need to refrain from consuming food in the trains (or public transport for that matter). Rather I see an organisation embarking on a senseless forest-bashing to get to their aim.

How can a public "campaign" like a "Reserved Seat" for the needy work "so well" when people call us, Singaporeans ungracious? This is what I call public pressure (w.r.t. peer pressure).  Is it wise, that as a country extremely well known for it's fine-ing system, for a commuter service provider (of which the citizens has no choice but to rely on) to actually step up control measures in such a manner?

Fine a person eating a burger, drinking from a soft drink cup anything along this line, I'm for it. Afterall the regulations are supposed to target these offences. In summary, I feel that instead of fine-ing anyone everthing that they put in their mouth, I firmly believe that THEY, should rather be doing up a list of actions that will subject commuters to which level of "punishment".

Afterall, who can claim they need a coke for heart attack?

Update

It's been long.

I'm now finally working - as a web designer. Though it's been only 2 weeks, I learnt alot.

I just did a "tickertape" which I need for my work and I'm using for my blog too. For fun only.

WooT!

Updates

Been too lazy.

First of all thanks everyone for the celebration a few weeks ago :)

First run this year was Passionrun 15k. Like OMG? Timing got worse by 3 mins! LIKE OMG LA!

Second run, 1 week right after was Sundown Marathon. Timing was quite bad I think. Anyway at least to me, Sundown feels much more siong den daytime la. So even if I got a worse timing I also heck.

On the hindsight, the sundown finisher medal and tee are damn nice. HeeHee
